I finally got my oil changed on Wednesday, and I have to say it was quite humbling.
It was gonna take about half an hour, so I figured I'd read my bible while I waited. There was a guy and an old lady, reading a book, waiting for their cars to finish when I walked into the shop. After using the restroom, I found a seat next to this girl who'd come in while I was away. She was talking to the guy and for some reason, I felt I shouldn't take my bible out to read. So, I didn't.
A few minutes went by, and the guy noticed the old lady reading her book and asked if she was studying the bible. They went on to talk about the churches they attend and he mentioned wanting to go to bible school.
As I watched them talk and listened to their conversation, I couldn't help but think, "shame on you, Aunna..." and smiled, cause I realized there's no reason why I shouldn't read my bible in front of others, because of what they might think.

strange, cause sometimes i'll read the bible in public on purpose so that people would come up to me to strike a conversation about it/God. but so far, not too many go there.
