For the past three or four months, people from all over have been calling my cell phone asking for a woman named Sherry.
The first couple of times, I didn't really mind - considering sometimes people can get the wrong number. The situation started to really make me nervous when Nordstrom and Macy's called me looking for her.
I finally called Verizon to see what they could do about it.
They couldn't do anything with just a first name. So, this woman, has been giving my number to department stores, doctor's offices, dentists, and even some of her friends!
I'm thinking, "I could be a victim of identity theft!"About five minutes ago, another woman called asking for Sherry.
When she realized she had the wrong number, she quickly apologized and hung up.
I promptly called her back to see if she was in fact, looking for Sherry.
She was. So, asked what her relation was to Sherry and explained my situation.Turns out, it was her mother!!!
By the end of our conversation, we realized that we do have the same number...just different area codes.
Sherry used to live in Seattle, and recently moved out of state.
She got a new number very similar to mine, with the difference of only one number.
Sherry's mom will let her know about the phone number issue and by the grace of God, today will be the last day someone calls me asking for Sherry. -
I lost my birthday ring the other day...
Doug promised me a new one, a better one...but I'm feeling the pains of guilt anyway.
My stupidity left the ring by the sink at the movie theater...Nothings been turned in, and I'm pretty sure some girl is wearing it right this moment.
It's an awesome ring...so not fair.
I had three good cries to get it out of my system.
...still sad... -
Praise the Lord because He is truly faithful!
I've been praying for God to take care of my car accident from December 28.
Healing from any kind of pain, especially my financial situation.I've got a $500 deductible, which up until today, I had no idea how it was going to paid for.
I've been trusting God to handle the situation, and God's definitely been faithful. The body shop owner had gracefully decided not to receive payment for my deductible.
He's only taking the payment from the insurance.
God is good. Very good... -
Today was a great day.
Working in a doctor's office has allowed me to see so many different kinds of people.
I'm amazed at how many different personalities and characters exist in this world. It's unbelievable.Recently, there was a caucasian woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer.
She came in today and asked to speak with our nurse.
She wanted to "thank" her for the support she's received since her diagnosis.
The crazy thing is...our nurse doesn't speak English! So, as our patient poured out her heart of gratitude, our nurse just smiled and gave her a hug.
It's amazing to see that even with a huge barrier like language, love can still be displayed in so many ways.
. . .
The sun came out today.
For just a few minutes...there was blue in the sky and I was in awe. -
What an amazing week.
Conference on inner healing lead by Dr. Bruce Thompson and his wife Barbara.
Lovely couple. I hope my future hubby and I will have a love like theirs.
Wild Waves twice! Fun, fun fun!!!
Rainiers baseball game today. Good food. All free - except the cotton candy...
"You are very precious, and priceless, and greatly loved by God, your Father."

What a blessing this weekend has been for me.
Monday and Tuesday paid holiday, no work.
Yesterday, Doug and I hung out with his friend/co-worker, his girlfriend Sunny, and Cilly.
Had dinner at the Harmon Brewery ($3 steak and fries) and fired up the bowling lanes with strikes and spares. Then, we hit Starbucks and relaxed on a table outside as we talked. Lots of fun...
For the fourth, we all had "club digs" (hot link with grilled onions and cream chesse) at Point Defiance with HJ, Becky, and Jane, and Doug's friend Woojin and his fiance met up with later. Played frisbee and chilled in the sun.
Afterward, some of us walked down to the Tacoma waterfront to look at booths and reserved a table at the Ram. Prime location for the fireworks later in the evening.
We had dinner there with Lee and Young, who gratefully reserved the table for us. Thanks guys!
The hike up the hill to our car was so much fun...yes...my workout for the year.
Until next year!
yummy food + so-so weather (rain with sunshine) + good friends (old, new, and newer) = GOOD TIMES
