Doug drew this picture of me at work.

           Hilarious!!!

    So true sometimes...

  • I finally got my oil changed on Wednesday, and I have to say it was quite humbling.

It was gonna take about half an hour, so I figured I'd read my bible while I waited.  There was a guy and an old lady, reading a book, waiting for their cars to finish when I walked into the shop.  After using the restroom, I found a seat next to this girl who'd come in while I was away.  She was talking to the guy and for some reason, I felt I shouldn't take my bible out to read.  So, I didn't.

A few minutes went by, and the guy noticed the old lady reading her book and asked if she was studying the bible.  They went on to talk about the churches they attend and he mentioned wanting to go to bible school.

As I watched them talk and listened to their conversation, I couldn't help but think, "shame on you, Aunna..." and smiled, cause I realized there's no reason why I shouldn't read my bible in front of others, because of what they might think.

  • Something funny that happened last weekend.

I was at Aquire the Fire Saturday night.  It was dinner time, so I had some Snikers Bars that I needed to sneak into the Dome, cause they wouldn't let anyone bring in food or drinks from outside.
In a nice spot behind a car, I'm crouching on the ground stuffing my purse's pockets with Snickers, when all of a sudden, something pushes me from behind.  I turn around with disbelief, trying to see who the heck pushed me.

To my amazement...I'm staring into the back bumper of a Domino's Pizza delivery lady's SUV.
Some lady hit me with her car!

As I'm standing up to see what's going on, the driver frantically gets out of her car to see if I'm okay.  And some random guy, who saw the whole thing, came over to say that by the time he noticed the driver wasn't gonna see me, he yelled, "stop the car!"  But it was too late.

He asked if I was okay, and I said "sure".  Then I asked if she was okay, and she said "sure".  Then she asked if I was okay, and I said "sure".  Then I asked if the car was okay, and they both looked at me like I was crazy.

So I let the lady go and laughed my way back into the Dome to enjoy the rest of the evening.

  • Take You Back*

The reason why I stand, the answer lies in You.  You hung to make me strong, though my praise was few.  When I fall, I bring Your name down, but I have found in You a heart that bleeds forgiveness, replacing all these thoughts of painful memories.  And I know that Your response will always be...
I'll take you back, always.  Even when your fight is over now.  I'll take You back, always.  Even when the pain is coming through, I'll take You back.

You satisfy this cry of what I'm looking for.  And I'll take all I can and lay it down before the throne of endless grace now that radiates what's true.
I'm in the only place that erases all these faults that have overtaken me.  And I know that Your response will always be...
I'll take you back, always.  Even when your fight is over now.  I'll take you back, always.  Even when the pain is coming through, I'll take you back.

I can only speak with a grateful heart as I'm pierced by this gift of Your love.  I will always bring an offering.  I can never thank You enough.
You take me back, always.  Even when my fight is over now.  You take me back, always.  Even when the pain is coming through, You take me back.

  • Last night, I was having this dream...
There was this really rude guy, who made me so angry  ...I turned around to kick him...(this is the short version)

The next thing I know, I hear two really loud bangs and I wake up with my knee and foot in pain
I was so angry in my dream, that I actually kicked the wall
I was lying so close, my knee hit the wall first and then my foot.

  • Okay, so the story goes...

I was driving a group of girls down to Dupont for small group meeting, and as I'm watching the exit signs, I see 119, and I think to myself, I've still got one more exit.
Then the next sign I see says, 119.
So I think, I've still got one more exit.

I'm driving on the far left lane of  I-5, and Gloria points out that I'm supposed to take the exit that coming up, which I thought was 119.  So I say that one, and point to it, and she says, yeah, that one.

So, I change lanes and see that there's a huge semi truck on my right, and as I'm watching the exit, I realize that the truck isn't driving fast enough for me to slow down and not pass the exit.

And what do I do?  I floor it.
In the end, I cut off the semi truck, and almost missed the exit, but ended up driving through the space between the ramp and highway, which makes my car start to go up and down.  And we're all safely on the ramp.

Apparently, it felt like a roller coaster to the girls in the back seat.
I don't know.  I was pretty calm throughout the whole thing.

  • Today was nerve-wracking...

But I had a good time.

  • happy...

  • Guess who lives downstairs from me?

Benji.  The guy who came to JA like two years ago!
    Isn't that crazy?
