Praise the Lord!
I found my bible, small group pamphlet, and my camera battery charger.
Now, all I need to do is find that letter for my sister.
I've been noticing lately, that the world is a much smaller place.
Actually, I've just been running into the most random people.
I met up with my cousin Chae for some dinner at Hosoonyi's in Tacoma, and as we were eating, this lady was leaving the restaurant.
She looks at me and asks if I live in her apartment building. So, I said no, thinking that she's talking about Tacoma, but then, she says she lives in Federal Way. Turns out, the lady lives two floors under me! Random...
I went to Costco to buy a bag of diapers and I saw a guy I used to work with. He was shopping with his family. So, I bowed and said hi and he didn't recognize me at first...but then he remembered.
That was random...
At the All Things New Concert, the girl sitting behind us was one of the girls I met at my cousin's baby shower last month. That was really random...
I see patients of the doctor I work for all over the place. They're everywhere!
Flying low...
I was checking the fax machine at work today and all of a sudden this black thing and a loud thump caught the corner of my eye and made me look outside.
My first thought was a bird must've flown into the window.
So, I started thinking, "what happened to the bird?"
I stood up, looked around, and noticed the bird was lying on the ground. So I went outside to check if it was okay, and a patient came by and said, "a bird died?"
As it turns out, the bird hit the window pretty hard and it died.
The best thing I could do was to get it out of the way.
So, I grabbed an empty cardboard box to push the bird into the bushes.
The worse part...the bird was rolling the whole time I was pushing it.
What a sad day for birds. Large windows must be their worst enemy.
I pumped gas today in Tacoma, cause it's cheapest there.
Too bad it still costs about $30 for a full tank! ![]()
Anyway, so as I was pumping gas, I waited in the car, and all of a sudden, a fire truck pulls in with its lights flaring...then a cop car...and they all got out to talk to some guy in a blue van.
Suspicious stuff going on in Tacoma these days. ![]()
So my tank was filled, and I get home in Fed. Way and the first thing I realize, is my debit card is missing.
I frantically search my car and all my pockets, only to reach the conclusion that I've left it at the gas station. ![]()
So, I call BoA to deactivate my card and have a new one mailed.
While I was talking to my sister, I stretched a leg out on her bed and felt something in my pocket.
It was my debit card...![]()
I joined Wayne, James (Mich.), and Diana at Barnes in Fed. Way.
Apparently, some lady was upset about not having a table to eat her meal, so she casually walks up to us and sets her dirty, left over plate in the middle of our table and walks away. ![]()
So we start to make comments about what the heck that was all about, and she turns around and tells us that we're rude cause we always go to Barnes and take up tables, leaving no space for other customers to sit down to eat.
Pretty much, she was complaining about not having a table to sit at while she ate her meal, and decided to make a statement of it by leaving her garbage with us. ![]()
Eventually, she went off and had a talk with the manager, who came by to tell us that if he finds out that we cussed at another customer again, we'd all be kicked out of Barnes for a year. ![]()
Basically, that woman made up some story about us being rude to her and cussing at her. Ooh...she made me so mad!
More than that, the manager made me angry, the way he handled the situation. He didn't even ask us what happened. Just took her story and that was it.
So much for customer service.
Barnes and Noble just went down two points!
Since turning 24, I've had a few interesting moments...
