I helped deliver flowers for Valentine's Day.
Its interesting to see people faces/reactions when they realize there's someone out there who's thinking of you on the day of love.
There was this one young lady who just woke up (actually, I woke her) and when she came to the door, I handed her the flowers. She asked who they were from, and I looked at the receipt and said Mel.
Her instant reaction, "Oh my gosh...okay."
It was one of those I-can't-believe-he-sent-me-flowers with a small roll of the eyes. Not the rolling that you do when you're annoyed, but the kind that shows your suprised.
Anyway, so it was interesting.
One of my deliveries was to a Korean couple.
When the woman answered the door and saw the bouquet, she took them inside and said "aigoo!!!"
Hahaha!!!
I even had the opportunity to deliver flowers to the wrong house. My dyslexia got the best of me and I read the address as 01 instead of 10.
So, a woman answered the door and I said, "These are for Anita" and she looked at me and said, "there's no Anita here." DANGIT!
The house was across the street! But her husband came over and shouted "yeah, I bought those for her...I bought those!"
Whatever, dude.
But I felt pretty bad about that one. Got a girl's hopes up only to burst the bubble.
It seems I could've had a Valentine if I hadn't made plans to see Becky in her scandalicious play.
Sorry man...I really didn't know.
But Becky was awesome and such a great actress.
She's going to win an Oscar one day.
And I'm gonna be able to say, "I know her. She's one of my best friends."
Hahaha!! Yes! There's my network, right there!
Becks, I love you!
It was fun hanging out and seeing people I haven't seen in such a long time.
I miss Seattle-living.
Rushed walks to campus cause I'm running late.
Waking up two minutes before class, debating if I should even go, and then closing my eyes for another hour of sleep.
I miss friends walking by the apartment and knocking on the windows to say hi.
Thursday night Must-See-TV with the COHO girls.
Kyong's daily tuna-kimchee-jjigae.
I miss Cilly Jin and Jin Young coming over with intentions to study - but instead - hanging out listening to music, dancing, snacking, chatting, surfing the web, and passing out on the beds and floor.
I miss spontaneous, late-night runs to Pochi.
Walking up and down the Ave.
Taking a 1 minute bus ride to work and back home.
I miss bumming rides off Kevin and Gloria every Friday to make it to youth group bible studies.
Trying to find a ride back up to Seattle on Sunday after OW.
You miss being a student when you're not one anymore.
Memories...they're great!
