Is it just me…or does it seem as if sometimes when you look at a word for a long time…you start wondering if it’s spelled right?

I did that the other day when I was reading the “Johns” of the New Testament.

John…

But now that I’m looking at it again…it seems so right!

And…now it looks wrong again.

I had an information meeting last night in Kirkland.
Turned in my app for grad school.
We’ll see if I get in…and then…it’s off to school again.

For the past year, I was under the impression that my dog was fixed…
Turns out…she’s in heat!

I’m waiting at a red light to make a left, and a guy on the intersecting street, pulls up next to me as he turns right and says, “You’re beautiful.”

SMY!!!
You stood me up!
Luckily, God was gracious enough to provide for me.
I had another partner who went the distance…PLUS TWO!!!

I took the hoop out of my ear and put in a stud. 

patient: So, what happened to you?
ak: What do you mean?
patient: What happened?  You look…healthy…
ak: Healthy? As in, I gained some weight?
patient: Yeah.
ak: Yeah…I gained some weight this year…
patient: You’re not pregnant are you?
ak: NO…
patient: I don’t know…are you sure?
ak: You really think I’m pregnant?
patient: Yeah.
ak: I’m not.

<I rethink standing up from my chair to get something, then decide I’d rather not talk with patient.  Standing…>

patient: Oh nevermind.  I think it was the way you were sitting.  You’re starting to look like me.

<patient rubs his belly>

ak: Thanks…
